Image license templates

Noticed this while uploading my user pic! The templates for all the licenses for images seems generalized. This one: Template:Self. It simply shows a text to refer metadata. Shouldn't there be a descriptive template exclusive to each license? - Santhosh (talk) 12:27, 8 November 2016 (UTC)

Is the whole list complete? Should there be a template for PD? My personal opinion is that CC0 is enough as it has become sort of a new standard. It's widely used too. - Santhosh (talk) 17:14, 11 November 2016 (UTC)

The 'alternate' section is still pending. About the PD part... Yup! CC0 is good enough. PD varies with countries though. - Karthik (talk) 17:27, 11 November 2016 (UTC)
