== Explanation ==
The declination is the term used to define the latitude of a star or other astronomical body in the [[celestial sphere]]. In other words, the latitude in the celestial sphere is termed as the declination to distinguish from each other. The projection of [[Earth]]'s equator coincides with the celestial equator. The celestial equator is said to have a declination of 0°. The longitude part of the celestial sphere is termed as the [[right ascension]].
