Explanation

Strong interaction is one of the four fundamental forces of nature. The strong interaction is what holds the quarks together to make up a hadron. Inside the atomic nucleus, the residual effect of the strong interaction holds the neutrons and protons together. This is usually referred to as the strong nuclear force. The strong interaction that holds the quarks together is usually referred to as the color force.
